Irene is being verified as the first nun to have international success composing, performing and releasing her self penned original titles on a major lable. Earlier titles were under the pseudonym of Mariam Frances.

The long awaited remastered version of singing nun sensation, Sister Irene O’Connor’s chart topping album Fire of God’s Love, has finally been released 50 years after it was first recorded.

The album Fire of God’s Love which was pressed and released in limited numbers in 1973, has become a highly sought after collector’s item fetching extremely high prices at private sales and live auctions alike.
Popularised for it’s hauntingly melodic message and synthesised beat, Sister Irene’s work Fire of God’s Love has been sampled in; Where’s the Catch by James Blake, featuring grammy recipient Andre 3000; pre-show opener for Swedish heavy metal band In Solitude; and the music underscore in award winning BBC series Killing Eve.
